34 1/2 weeks pregnant!!!

Well, we made it to 34 weeks and I had my check up today... She said all is well and I am measuring on schedule...(35 inches from top to bottom of the uterus).. I guess thats good. Brady has been very active the past couple of days... if you watch my stomach it looks like an alien is in there... His heart beat was a strong 136 today at the Dr's office. I go back in 11 days (36 weeks) and she will start "checking" me at that point to see how much, if any, I am dialated or thinned out... How weird is it to think i am 10 days away from being in the 9th month of my pregnancy?!?! I am super excited to see my child but starting to get nervous too! I just hope I dont have him this weekend so I won't have to name him Gustav.. haha.. speaking of that, It seems that everyone, excluding Chris and I, have started to somewhat panic about this little "storm".. I wasen't aware that I needed to stock up on water, gas, food, etc... but there is no water to be bought around here ... or bread for that matter... I guess everyone will be eating sandwiches and drinking water all weekend... and gas went up 20 cents in one day!! How CRAZY!?!? Whatever... I hope we make it without bottled water for a couple of days... I did go to sam's tonight and get 234 diapers and a box of 720 wipes... I gotta stock up on something, might as well be for the baby... That might last a couple of weeks once he arrives! How ridiculous are the price of diapers these days??? I am telling you now that we will start potty training ASAP!! Someone could go broke buying diapers alone!! Part of it I guess.. Ok so that's it for tonight.. Tomorrow night we have a baby shower at a "Couple" friend of ours (anson and glenda) so I will have to let you know how that goes then... Until then.... nighty-night! Sorry no pictures, I will have some tomorrow.. unless you want a picture of a box of Diapers!!

The nursery... As Promised!!

Here is the cutest little nursery ever... This is Brady's Bedding and bed... how sweet...
Our little rocking chair and book shelf... There is his little hospital bag all packed and ready to go! Here is his dresser...He has his 4D pictures in his little picture frames... and to the far right of the picture is his closet with his first ole miss sweater hanging up waiting on him to wear it :)
Another view of his bed ... his changing table.. and in the corner, his little bouncer/swinger seat...
Just his room from another view... We are gonna have to get some more stuff on these walls.. it looks soooo plain jane in these pictures... Anyway... That's the nursery! I really hope you like it as much and Brady and I do!! I can just sit in there and rock and imagine him being here already!! Its getting close... only 6 weeks left...
And, by the way, I got my hair colored today...ABOUT TIME!! I had some god awful roots!! anyway, dont mind the picture, but i though I would share my color... I will take another one when i am all fixed up one day! HA--- I think my nose is starting to swell...GREAT!
Goodnight!

Our New Decor!!!

So recently we have decided to "finish up" decorating our den/kitchen area because we dont want to put it off till after the baby is born and then keep on putting it off... ya catch my drift?? Anyway, so some things we needed to make our house feel more "homey" was... 1.) Pillows for our couch- Just because 2.) An area rug for the den- for Chris' peace of mind when someone holds his child over our hard wood floors 3.) Barstools for the bar- Extra seating.. we entertain a lot and have a table with only 4 chairs 4.) Wall Art- To knock out some of the echoing that is crazy loud in our great room 5.) Drapes- Just for me, I like the way they look 6.) Lamps for the end tables So we have began knocking some of this list out and I just wanted to share our progress... First up is Chris putting together the barstools ... he is such a handy man!!
Next...Here are two of the completed bar stools.. They really look great if I do say so myself... Here are the completed Barstools!! YAY... they complete the room.... Now these are some of the pillows that we got for the couches... They make for a good picture... We got these pillows from Magnolia Pewter in Pearl. They are made by mentally disabled children/adults and are sold for a very reasonable $10.00 or $14.00 EACH!! So while they are each hand-made, beautiful, and afordable.. they also help a worthy cause, and that makes me happy! Finally here is one of the den.. with the pillows, rugs, lamps and even the barstools... It is really starting to come together.. and it is a very comfortable place to be... So all we are lacking now are the drapes and some large wall art! I am really enjoying decorating my (house if you cant tell)- Next up I will have to show you the nursery... ToOoO FuN!! Till Next Time~

~Wooten, Ballard, Delaughter Dinner Party~

Hello all.... Tonight we hosted a dinner/ get together at our house... we try to do this once a month or so with our group of friends.. Everyone brings food "pot-luck" which makes for a lot of food!! Its the same crowd everytime but we like it that way.. I guess you can call it "click-ish" but thats how we roll... anyway I took some pictures, naturally (since i blog now) so here they are... First up- this is a picture of the 5 rack of ribs and sausage my honey smoked.. yum... here you can see ryan and Jim enjoying them... Here is Jared and Ryan chillin waiting on us to get started ... eating, that is...
Here is Chris and Sawyer (Anson and Glenda's son)... He was diggin chris tonight... Jared again... it was like a photo shoot around here tonight... And here is Jayson making his grand entrance an hour late... better late than never for Jayson... Here's a picture of Sawyer enjoying his new walker.. of course he can only go backwards for now, but I am sure he will learn... he had fun in it..
Glenda, Sawyer, and myself... I finally got one with Chris before all of our photographers left... here is the Delaughter family... Jim, Christy, and Daisy... And me and Bill... good face Bill... Here are the Ballards... Glenda, Anson, and Sawyer.. after 3 or so bad pictures, Anson decided to cooperate...He realized I wasen't going anywhere...
And here is Chris getting the food ready.. He did most of the work for this party, seeing how I am 8 months pregnant, I have an excuse to be tired and not want to cook or clean...hehe...
Anyways... I guess that's about it for tonight... unless I can think of something later... but for now its on to the dishes.. well, the dishwasher... and then I'll catch up on some t.v...
Have a good night~ till next time

My Fur Babies: Ralph and Ginger

It just occured to me that I have not posted anything about my first born.... all this baby talk and nothing about my Ralphy... Well, I will not be one of those mommas that forget about their dogs when the baby comes... Ralphy is my "first child", I got lots of practice at mommy hood thanks to him...When Chris and I first got him, he was like 5lbs of fur and completely adorable...
He is registered as a "miniature" but I believe we got lied to!! He was a miniature until he grew... I was living in my one bed room apartment and he ended up growing to 55lbs!! Needless to say my apartment got trashed as he went through his "chewing" and "digging" stages...notice the bottom of the couch below.. and the vacume cleaner is sitting over concrete that used to be carpet!
Oh well, once I got out of my apartment he spent a little time out at my parents house being an "outside dog" and that was hard for me to get used to .. but he didn't seem to mind... Look how beautiful... this is out at my parents house...
We (Chris and I) would go out there often and visit but it wasen't the same... This is my favorite picture of Chris and Ralph...
Anyway... then once our house was built, and we had a yard for him we finally got him back!! And then we thought he might be lonley so we starting looking for a second dog that we decided we wanted to adopt instead of buying from a breeder.... but one night we found GINGER... well actually Bill found her, but we quickly took her in.. she was one of the cuttest puppies I have ever seen and her and Ralph have made great friends (not lovers!!) ... I do like ginger, but Ralphy will always be my Favorite! (sorry, I cant help it) I just hope its not like that with my 2nd child...haha.... oh well, so here is one of Ginger... Not really a good one but I will have to get some recent ones now that I have a camera... alright, thats the story of our "FurrBabies"... As you can see, theres not really a whole lot going on tonight so that is all the bloggin your getting.... Hope you enjoyed!

Travelin' Woman

Well this one is for momma... She is getting up early (before sun-up) tomorrow and leaving for Nicargua.. Yeah, way down south! She usually goes on an annual mission trip but this is the first time to the Nic so it should be intresting.... Toooo many bugs for this woman, but not mom.. She goes as a nurse with a group of people from the church and she seems to enjoy it.. she has to, or she wouldn't be going back every year... Anyway, just keep her in your prayers this next week, (and my dad... he gets lonely when shes gone) Pray God uses her in great ways... See ya later mom.. I love you.. muah!

32 Weeks Pregnant Blog...

I knew I forgot to post one.. this is from last week... I go back to the Dr next week (34 weeks) but this is the last pregnancy post that I posted until then... enjoy Tuesday, August 12, 2008 32 Weeks Pregnant~ 8 weeks to go! Current mood: enlightened Brady and I went to the dr today (he goes everywhere I go)... Dr says we are right on track... even though he is on the bigger side.. His little heart beat was a strong fast 152 beats per min... I drank a coke before I went, so that could have something to do with it... These appointments are boring... walk in, sit in the first waiting room... get on a scale, pee in a cup, sit in the second waiting room...go to the exam room, hear the heart beat ,ask a few questions and then leave... oh well, only 8 more weeks of this then I will start taking a baby to the dr for his very own appointments... I am so excited, and cant wait for that!! Today we talked about a birth plan... I am a planner but when I make a plan I like for it to go that way... so i am very hesitant to make a "birth plan" because i dont want to get all irritated when it dosen't work out that way... Oh well, I guess I will just write out an "ideal birth plan" but we probally wont stick to it.. you never know with babies how they are going to handle delievery or labor.. or what way he is going to be sitting, or where my placenta is?? yeah i know, but these things can alter my "birth plan" thats why I dont want one. We know that in an IDEAL situation that we do not want a c-section and Chris wants to cut the cord.. and for the first few moments of life we want to spend as a new family of 3... we dont want a room full of people all playing pass the baby, there will be time for that later... there are many things that we want to happen, but like I said, we wont plan for it incase things change.. I guess all we can do is pray that things go smoothly and everyone comes out of this healthy... I guess you can say that is my ultimate "Birth Plan" Well, tomorrow night a group of girls i went to hair school with are taking me to dinner to shower me with baby goodness and I am sooo looking forward to that.. and I have another baby showere Saturday with Chris' and my families... so I will be posting pictures of the showers so look forward to that.. i know i am! Next appt is in 2 weeks (34 weeks) Time is starting to fly by!! Till next time... Jenny&Brady

Somethings out there...

So I told you I got a new camera... Well shortly after I got it, Chris was walking around the house and found this little something.....

Chris is wearing a size 13 shoe... this thing is huge... and somewhere in my yard!!!!!!!!!!

Now mind you.. Chris is over 6 foot tall and he is holding this thing up at his head and its not even straightned out and is still almost down to his knees... ugggggghhh! This means that whatever anaconda left this skin out by my house is still out there somewhere... This freaks me out!!! I just hope it dosen't bother my dogs.... can anyone say "mothballs". Thats all for now.

Updated Picture 32 Weeks Pregnant

And here we are today... 32 Weeks Pregnant (and some days). It is starting to get to that uncomfortable stage, you know the one, where you can't breath unless you are standing like a soldier and it takes 15 mins to roll over or get up at night... and believe me, I am doing that alot. I just can not seem to find a comfortable position these days and the back pain isn't much better!! I do believe this is the first time I have been negative during this pregnancy.. ha! Oh well, it's bound to happen sometime.. Any way~ enough blogging for one day.. I got you all caught up with the pregnancy and even gave a picture ( I don't know why I didn't put on make-up)... so I hope its enough for my first day as a blogger... Until next time, Take Care, Jenny

Pregnancy: From beginning to week 32

So I told you I have been blogging on my myspace page... and since I do not want to re-type those but I want you to know what's been going on through out the pregnancy so far, I decided to copy all my blogs up until now to this Blog... So this one should be a longer one, haha! Beginning to end.. well, not the actual beginning or the actual ending, yet... but you get my drift. Anyway, enough blabbing and onto blogging... Wed., March 5, 08 ALREADY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Current mood: stoked Yes Yes Yes already! Chris and I knew we wanted children right after we got married and by the Grace of God it worked out that way. We are very excited about this new addition to our ever growing family. We will be expecting our baby around October 6 and we will not know the sex of the baby until the middle of May and we can't wait to find out what it will be!! We go in for our first "scheduled" sonogram on the 18th and we will get to see the baby and hear the little heartbeat.. that will be great! Please keep us in your prayers as we enter into this new and exciting chapter of our lives. Thanks so much Jenny Wed., March 19, 08 11 Weeks Pregnant Current mood: vibrant Well we went to the Dr yesterday for our monthly check-up and everything is peachy!! We got to see the baby doing a little swimming and bouncing around. He/She is a very active baby. It would kick and wave and we even caught it sucking it’s thumb. The heartbeat was very good and clear. I think it was around 170 beats per/min. I hate calling it and IT but I have no idea what it is so it has to be an it for the moment. Anyway.. we go back next month for another check up and then in the May check-up, we will find out the sex!! yaaaaaa!!! almost out of our 1st trimester, next week i will be at 12 weeks... we are crossing over new mildstones everyday and we are thrilled that everything is going good for us and the baby. Thanks for the Congrats.. we are real excited! I will update you as soon as I have something to update you about! haha.. thanks again, jenny <>< Mon., April 14, 08 15 Weeks Pregnant! Current mood: impatient Ok so Chris and I went to the Dr. today and everything is right on track. We are 15 weeks and 1 day today. No sonogram or anything, but we did get to hear the heartbeat again and it was a beautiful 156 beats per min. I am still dying to know the sex of the baby so I can quit calling the baby an IT!! That is driving me nuts, plus I am not really a patient person anyways.. However, I guess one more month won't kill me..BOO!! We are due to go back to the dr on May 13 and then GOD WILLING, we will find out the sex... Everyone thinks its a girl... I mean everyone, well, that is, except Chris.. He knows its a boy, so we will just have to see. It dosen't matter to me either way, I just can't wait to know so we can pick out a name and paint the nursery and fun stuff like that.. oh well, the countdown till May 13 has begun. And I will be keeping you posted for sure!! Stay tuned for the next chapter in this wonderful adventure we call pregnancy.. God Bless~Jenny Wed, May 14, 08 19 weeks pregnant!! Current mood: smitten ok so as you have probally heard or read by now we went to the dr. Tuesday and found out we are having a boy!! We are sooo thrilled!!! I just knew it would be a girl because we wanted a boy so bad, but Chris was right all along... (i will probally never admit that again, so make a note). He knew it was a boy from the moment we found out we were pregnant. Anyway, they said his (I love saying his) legs were in the 81st percentile meaning they are longer than 81% of babies his age.. and he, himself was in the 88th percentile.. so needless to say we should have a large and tall baby boy! The heart rate was a good 149.. the first time the whole pregnancy it was under 150. He is very active and moved around the whole time we were doing the sonogram. I have started feeling him move around a lot more now that his hearing is working, he is responding to a lot of noises i guess. We still haven't decided on a name yet, that is out next battle! But we are just glad to know that all is healthy with the baby... heart, brains, spine, kidneys, etc. He is developing right on pace and everything is well. It will be another 4 weeks before we go to the dr. again but I will keep you posted. Proud momma of a baby BOY!!! Jenny Wed, June 11, 08 23 weeks prego! Current mood: breezy Well we went to the dr yesterday for our monthly check up and all went well. Baby boy wooten ( who is still not officially named) is doing great. His heart rate was a good strong 140 bpm. He has been very active lately. Last night while watching tv, i had the remote on my belly and I watched him kick it several times. I thought that was the funnest thing... Chris didnt make it in time to see it so I tried to record it with my phone but i guess he is camera shy. Maybe another day. Any way- we go back in July and then we have to start going every 2 weeks!!! (instead of monthly) That means its getting closer. Still no nursery put together or no name but it will all be done in time!! I have no doubt. I have signed us up for child birth classes so that should be very intresting!! Looking forward to that.. Still just very anxious to see what this little kid of mine looks like, oh well, patience is a virtue! I will keep you all posted.. just know that all is good at week 23! See ya in a month! Jenny and baby Wed, July 9, 08 27 weeks pregnant! Current mood: chipper Well, I went for my 27th week (entering the 7th month) check up today and all is great! Baby Boy Wooten was very active. It could of had something to do with that nasty flat sunkist drink i had to drink so they could test my sugar...which, by the way, was great. His little heart beat was strong at 158 bpm. She said we are measuring on track still expecting him late September, early October. Weight gain is good so far, blood pressure was perfect.. just a little anemic but that can be handled with some pills. According to all the pregnancy books, and i am reading 3, he should be a little over 2 lbs and around 14 inches long.. thats average. I feel him move all the time now and he even responds to my pushing on him. This month we got all the nursery furniture in and assymbled....that was fun... now we are just waiting to stock it with baby stuff!!! I have got to learn some self control.. no more shopping at babies r us! I over do it!! haha... Anyway.... I start going to the dr every 2 weeks now.. thats fun! We are officially in the third trimester, the final stretch now!!! I also scheduled my 4D sonogram today.. its in a couple of weeks so be looking for those pictures, thats exciting... as always, I will keep you posted on how its going..I can't believe it has gone so fast!! My next task is finding a dress to wear to my sister's (katies) wedding next week.. yeah I know, last min.. but I just wanted it to fit so I am putting it off as long as I can. Alright, thats it for this week, I will see you in a couple of weeks.. Till then, Jenny Mon, July 14, 08 David Brady Wooten Current mood: accomplished Ok so after months of coming up with names, then turning them down, then coming up with new names and then turning them down.. ..you get the point, we have finally decided on a name and it seems to be a popular one!! We knew all along that David would be the first name because it is Chris' first name and Chris' dad's first name so that was a no brainer.. .. the tricky part was the middle name. I have always loved the name Brady (from the Brady family on Days of our lives)...but dont tell chris that.. ..haha.. and finally last night he agreed on it. For the past coulple of weeks we had it narrowed down to two and last night we decided on BRADY!! I am so glad I can officially call him something now other than "lil' man" or "son" which is what he has been for the past few months. Oh well... one more hurdle (?) cleared.. .. Now on to getting Brady here and healthy... Take care Jenny and Brady! Fri, July 25, 08 Brady’s First 4D sonogram Current mood: irritated Well ,naturally we knew we would have a stubborn child because he is, after all, Chris' child! So when it came time for picture day he did not want to participate.(?)... any who.. he wouldn't look at the camera, his knees were all in his face, he was sucking on his toes.. not at all concerned with getting a good picture.. so we will go back next week for our second attempt at this sonogram! But they did weigh him and he is an estimated 3.9 lbs now but he was in such a ball that they could not get a good measurment on the legnth. They say he is measuring in at about 2 weeks older than what he is... but we shall see.. She also said his head is kinda on the bigger side, which is not what I wanted to hear, but what can you do?? I am not looking to set any records or anything, I just want him healthy and not toooo tiny, but not like one of those Hawian babies that are nothing but rolls... He is sitting cross legged with his butt at the floor of my pelvic area...they called that frank breech.. he still has plenty of time to rotate and change positions but he is just chillin upright right now. His little heart beat was good at 153 beats per min... From what I can tell of this profile picture he allowed us to get, he is gonna be his daddy made over.. he has the cutest baby cheeks I have ever seen though.. Hopefully we will get some real good ones next week since we go on my Birthday!! Maybe he will cooperate for my present!! anyway, stay tuned for round 2 of the sonogram pictures. Till then Jenny & her stubborn child Brady Mon, July 28, 08 Brady’s 2nd attempt at 4D sonogram Current mood: energetic Well we went back to the sonogram lady today to try again at these pictures and he did beautifully... he looked at the camera, played with his toes and was very cooperative! He has moved to the "head down" position from last week where he was breech...She measured him today at 3lbs 15 oz... I think we should change his name to Goliath!! hes huge!!! He already has baby fat on his little arms and legs and cheeks! She said he looks to be 2 weeks ahead of schedule .. the way they measure them it showed him being 32weeks where we have him as 30... I go to the Dr. tomorrow for a check up so that will be a question I ask.. Well go check out the pictures, they are precious! He gave his momma a good Birthday present! Jenny Fri, Aug 1,08 30 weeks pregnant...and counting! Current mood: vital Hello Hello... I went to the dr Wednesday (and forgot to blog) my bad... not to much to update since we are going every 2 weeks now.. you already know that he is measuring at 3lbs 15oz and for a baby at 30 weeks thats large!! but i'll take it! He had a good strong heartbeat of 144. He has been very very active lately, which I love! The dr and I talked about how she feels about inducing labor and she is all for it, if he is healthy .. but since he is what she calls a "whimpy white boy" she will not do it before 39 weeks... We will just have to see how big he is then. She will know more when I start going every week and getting "examined"... For those of you who do not know, little white males lungs develop slower than others so dr's do not like to take a little white boy early because of that reason.. My dr said she has seen 8lbs baby boys in the NICU because his lungs were not ready, and we do not want that!.. We are still attending child birth classes every Monday night, thats intresting.. this monday we will be talking to the drug dr ( I can't spell it, so I won't try) and be talking about c-sections, which I hope I dont have to have, but whatever...Next Monday we take a tour of the baby suites which we are excited about.. Its getting time for baby showers and stuff, so its getting fun! I am loving how his room is coming together, I just put a picture up of his bed... too cute! Anyway, we go back in 2 weeks (32 weeks along) and I will let you know whats up then.. Talk to you soon Jenny & son And that brings us to today... I am 33 Weeks and 3 days pregnant and I go to the Dr. next friday so be looking for an update then.. but I should blog befor then too!
